"The East Texas Food Bank works daily to ensure that no man, woman or child goes hungry." Robert L. Bush, Executive Director

Based on the statistics provided by the Texas Health and Human Services Department, only 60% of Texans eligible for Food Stamps are receiving benefits. In January 2007 the East Texas Food Bank began its outreach and enrollment program, partnering with community and faith-based organizations in an effort to educate and enroll clients in the Nutrition Programs provided by the USDA.
